PRACTICE IS CLOSED AT THE MOMENT.
At times life's stresses are overwhelming and exhausting, causing us to feel trapped in our own worlds. As a consequence, we may lose sleep, feel listless, confused, angry, frustrated, isolated and helpless.
How can I help?
I can provide psychological help in dealing with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, panic, performance anxiety, stress related issues, interpersonal difficulties (private or professional), posttraumatic stress, and personal growth.
Approach
My approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Positive Psychology. While the main focus is on the here-and-now, for some people understanding and coming to terms with early experiences may also be an important part of handling their current situation better. After a preliminary review of your problems, we will work together to find what is the most meaningful process for you. Through our therapeutic relationship, a mutually reflective process, you will be empowered to see yourself differently in relation to your conflicts and you will be able to address your difficulties with integrity, confidence and peace. I can help you to acquire better skills for managing your moods, improving your personal or professional relationships, increasing self-confidence, overcoming stress and enhance your general wellbeing.
Sessions
The number of sessions will depend on the nature and the complexity of the problems, the depth of change required and external life factors. Initally, it is recommended to start with four to six sessions after which we can agree either to end the therapy, to re-contract for a number of further sessions, or to undertake longer term work.
Please do not hesitate to telephone or email me in order to make an appointment or for an initial informal chat to see whether I may be able to help you.
